Abstract

This essay offers at the same time the reflections of a scholar and the testimony of a performer of different Shakespearean characters. To Manzanal, the mastery of the English author resides in the vastness of his work, which reflects all the human experiences in a great polyphonic choir. In a perfect fusion of arts and sciences, approaching Shakespeare’s work is a path to wisdom.

Author Biography

Manzanal Gustavo, TeTe BA (Teatro Terciario de Buenos Aires)

Profesor en Letras, Especializado en Lingüística. Titular de cátedras y Vicerrector del Instituto de Enseñanza Superior N° 2 'Mariano Acosta'. Docente Teatral, Director de TeTeBA (Teatro Terciario de Buenos Aires), Autor de cuarenta piezas de teatro (varias estrenadas y/o publicadas), Actor y Director Teatral, por lo que obtuvo los Premios “Derechos del niño”, “Espíritu de Grecia”, “Ace”, “Fray Mocho”, “Mejor Actor del Festival Internacional Gombrowicz de Radom” (Polonia). Recientemente su libro “Filosofía de la Técnica Teatral” obtuvo el Premio “Teatro del Mundo” que otorga la UBA.
