The concepts of “freedom” and “democracy” in the speeches of Bishop Miguel de Andrea during 1932 and 1946 were essential to develop a communicational strategy designed to fight communism and defend republican values. This article is based in the premise that speech is a fundamental tool for spreading ideas and thoughts, forming opinions and obilizing to action. The exceptional character of Miguel de Andrea in the Church and intellectual world of his time makes him a key figure in the defense of the Constitution and democracy in the interwar period.Downloads
