The 'healthy nationalism' versus 'republican patriotism' debate

Abstract

Considering the serious political, economic and social crisis that persists to a great extent of the countries of Latin America, the discussion about what nation project we want continues effective and would have to continue discussing itself. The article sets out to contribute to deepen this discussion to divide of a recovery and critical boarding of the debate initiated by a group of Argentine intellectuals between the perspective of the “republican patriotism” and the defenders of the “healthy nationalism”. According to it is maintained, both approaches are not necessarily incompatible, being able to complement itself to each other from a high-priority order.
