Abstract

The chroniclers from XIII century have been engaged mainly in the political and military activity of Fernando III, leaving in the darkness almost everything what refers to his work as governor. Nevertheless, the certificates of the monarch have revealed his legislative activities. We deal with these matters based on documentation and chronicles and based, besides, on the latest bibliography, specially the one issued by E. S. Procter, Julio González, Ana Rodríguez and on some researches published during the congress of 1998, organized on the ocassión of the 750 anniversary of Sevilla conquest.
