Abstract

Study about the importance of the border in the historical and cultural development of Hispanic Low Middle Age, based on an unpublished source, The Miracles of Guadalupe.
This corpus is kept in the Files of the Real Monasterio de Guadalupe and refers to the Marian intercession –in its invocation as Saint Mary of Guadalupe– in several aspects of every day life in the border. I’ve chosen those topics referring to the miraculous liberation of Christians who were taken captive by the enemies of faith.
