La Historia reciente como especialización disciplinaria. Discusiones teórico–metodológicas a partir del caso uruguayo

Abstract

Since the restoration of democracy to the present, teaching and researching about the recent past in Uruguay unleashed all kinds of political and ideological discussions. Academic Historiography took a position on them, developing valuable insights that despite the fact that are responsive to local questions, they are also useful to think of the Recent History as a disciplinary specialization of global projection. The contextual analysis of these reflections becomes, then, the subject matter of this article, which is concerned not so much historiographical issues involved, but with the theoretical and  methodological aspects.
