The article tries to make a synthesis of the question of freedom and values, its ethical sense and its onto-anthropological anchoring in order to point out the broad context in which it is located in the thought of Francisco Leocata. One of the main objectives of Leocata’s work has been to strengthen the concept of person, its rationality and its metaphysical roots in response to contemporary philosophical currents that endanger the consistency and destiny of human existence.
