Reconciliation, synthetic category of salvation according to B. Sesboüé

Abstract

The current survey, part of a Doctoral dissertation on Theology, intends to demonstrate, from the work of the French theologian Bernard Sesboüé, the fact and the consequences of conferring to the soteriological category of «reconciliation» a synthetic value with regard to the rest of the traditional categories. The article focuses on: a) the possibility of a synthetic concentration of salvation under the category of reconciliation; assuming that this approach belongs to Christian message and the thought of B. Sesboüé; b) the emergent elements that rise from such understanding of the salvific event.
