The article offers some thoughts on the delicate matter of possible access to eucharistic communion by remarried divorced people. The link between matrimonial indissolubility and eucharistic communion is tackled first, considered a sensitive point in the recent discussion on the subject. Secondly, taking an important assertion of Evangelii Gaudium as a starting point, some considerations are made on the medicinal nature of the eucharist, and finally
some remarks concerning the theology of grace.
