Abstract

The purpose of these lines is to create an area of encounter between Julian of Norwich, English mystic who lived between the years 1342 and ¿1416? and Adolphe Gesché, contemporary theologian, who died recently. We propose this meeting through the category of “imaginary”. This imaginary can be a path out of the narrow rationalistic reason when it is unrelated to other dimensions of the human life. The imaginary of the wound of medieval mysticism, and the question of meaning through imaginary that this theologian of the twentieth century raises, can be suggestive also for philosophy and theology today.
