Abstract

Fray Servando Teresa de Mier, a Dominic Friar, was one of the creole priest devoted to the Independence ideals. The work explains his statement of 1794, about the Holy Virgin’s Miracle of Guadalupe, when he tried to explain a mitical pre-evangelization of México –before the Spanish conquest– in order to confront Spain on one of its dominion rights over America –the religious one– searching a “teological justification for the Independence movements.
