El aporte extranjero a la conformación de las tripulaciones de las escuadras argentinas en las Guerras de Independencia y del Brasil, 1814-1830

Abstract

The article is a study focused on the rank and file of the crews of the first argentine naval squadrons from 1814 to 1830. Special interest is pointed into the recruting of the sailors, and the dterminantion of the national or geographical origins of the crews, in order to demonstrates the importance of the foreign support in the formation of the early Argentinean Navy.
