Resumo

This work aims to delve into the memories of Rear Admiral Aníbal Olivieri, overturned in his book Twice rebel. Although there can be considered an apology for his conduct, because he served as Minister of the Navy in the Peron government between 1951 and 1955, he is presented as a necessary source to study an institution, such as the Navy, its members, the issue of professionalization and the impact of politics within it. We go to the biographical method because "a total biography with difficulty covers all facets of a life but its study offers objective and solid data regarding the trajectory of life, kinship ties and professional action, so that their contribution to social and political history is essential "
