Aspectos bioéticos y jurídicos del manejo del cadáver

Abstract

The human corpse brings with it a series of uncertainties that range from strictly nominal issues, such as its real definition, to regulations, as the attribution of rights, or to ethics, as moral evaluations of their manipulation. The neomodern view of death conditioned the corpse to a state of complete objectivation, throwing it into the most radical of utilitarianisms. Proof of this is the multiple situations of reprehensible ethics regarding the management of the dead body, particularly in the biosanitary sphere. From the bioethical-legal analysis and the integration of its related dimensions, the article provides elements for the search in a more holistic definition, its estatus mortem. Definition that offers lights in the identification of degrading and disrespectful acts of the special dignity of the dead.
