The president of the Episcopal Commission for Pastoral Health Care encourages us to seek new ways to move forward together in caring for the most fragile, convinced that every life has value and must be loved.

Author Biography

  • Luis Urbanc, Presidente de la Comisión de Pastoral de la Salud de la Conferencia Episcopal Argentina.

    Nació en Buenos Aires el 25 de julio de 1958; ordenado sacerdote el 30 de mayo de 1982; elegido obispo coadjutor de Catamarca, el 14 de noviembre de 2006 por Benedicto XVI; ordenado obispo el 10 de marzo de 2007 por Mons. Luis Héctor Villalba, arzobispo de Tucumán (coconsagrantes: Mons. Mario Antonio Cargnello, arzobispo de Salta y Mons. Elmer Osmar Ramón Miani, obispo emérito de Catamarca) e inició su ministerio pastoral en esta diócesis el 24 de marzo de 2007. Es obispo de Catamarca por sucesión desde el 27 de diciembre de 2007. En la Conferencia Episcopal Argentina, preside la Comisión de Pastoral de la Salud. Es licenciado en Sagrada Escritura en el Pontificio Instituto Bíblico (Roma).
