This essay aims to do an analysis of the instrumental gestures on the guitar of a recent work by Arthur Kampela, Micro Study 3, which works out damping and multifonic techniques on the guitar. Aiming to focus this gestural analysis from the dynamic and expressive point of vue, we approach its geometrical and physiological aspects only briefly, focusing mainly on analytic tools borrowed from Rudolf Laban’s Eukinetic, such as the factors of movement, the basic actions of effort. and the concepts of impulse and energy. We put these notions together with some typologies of the instrumental gesture proposed by authors such as GodÁ¸y and Delalande and seek to understand the nature of sound and kinetic fluency in the mostly dry
