El poder tangible: desplazamiento material y demarcación espacial en Aves de Aristófanes

Resumen

Una lectura de Aves sustentada en los avances teóricos del Nuevo Materialismo permite advertir, a través de la identificación de una pluralidad de objetos significativos, propios y ajenos, cómo se manifiestan en la práctica los encuentros diplomáticos y de qué manera pueden leerse las pretensiones coloniales abstractas de una pólis como Atenas en clave de su sustento físico. Al alertar en general sobre los bienes y sus potencialidades en manos de un protagonista interesado en el control y la posesión, la comedia deja entrever que los objetos visibles que circulan, se imaginan o se instalan sobre el escenario y que se pueden conseguir o ceder, atesorar o destruir, contribuyen a identificar las bases tangibles del poder imperial ateniense.
