O princeps Augusto e a sua trajetória no poder romano: consideraÁ§Áµes sobre o poder de imperium e a tribunicia potestas (I AEC – I EC)

As aÁ§Áµes do princeps Augusto eram aceitas na medida em que ele mantinha, em sua trajetória política, uma aparÁªncia sobre o seu comportamento e respeito aos valores tradicionais, tornando-os de conhecimento público, assim como se absteve de ofender o percurso político e memória dos cidadãos mais antigos de Roma. Por isso, é essencial levarmos em consideraÁ§ão os níveis que estamos analisando. Afinal, em um recorte temporal encontramos fissuras, inovaÁ§Áµes e continuidades, pois algumas mutaÁ§Áµes podem ocorrer de uma forma mais lenta que outras e valendo-se das tradiÁ§Áµes da sociedade. Em pesquisas que envolvem um período de transiÁ§ão, como o Principado de Augusto, devemos ter cuidado com relaÁ§Áµes binárias de oposiÁ§ão e, assim, investir em categorias reflexivas que nos possibilitem ter uma visão conjuntural da sociedade. Em nossa concepÁ§ão, duas chaves políticas eram importantes para Augusto garantir a sua governabilidade: o respeito Á tradiÁ§ão e o prestígio político-social. Nesse sentido, debateremos sobre o poder de imperium e a tribunicia potestas para a legitimidade augustana.Descargas
