De realengo a señorío : Puebla de Alcocer en los siglos XIII al XV

Abstract

This article focuses the evolution of Puebla de Alcocer during the late Middle Ages. Located in Extremadura, dependent on Toledo and specially devoted to livestock farming, Puebla de Alcocer under went many changes between the 13th and 15th centuries, succesively changing its status from “realengo” to “señorío” and vice versa.
