Abstract

The Liber Mariae of the Franciscan friar Juan Gil de Zamora is probably the most important Hispanic, written in Latin work with mariological content of the 13th century. The aim of the present paper is to analyze certain textual issues which enable us to believe that the divergences of the manuscripts, by means of which the work has been transmitted (Burgo de Osma, Cathedral Library, ms. 110 and, National Library, ms. 9503), can be explained as two different stages of redaction.
