This paper examines the reception of Libro de Séneca contra la yra e saña, a medieval Spanish translation of Seneca’s De ira, within the context of 15th century cultural activity. For that purpose, we will consider the presence of the Spanish translation in the noble inventories, the only three manuscript copies preserved (mss. Esc. N.II.8, S.II.14 and T.III.3), the indirect testimony from the work by Fernán Pérez de Guzmán and the alleged recasting of the work by the humanist Nuño de Guzmán.Downloads
