LA PROBLEMÁTICA DE LA TRADUCCIÓN EN LA CARTA DE ARISTEAS A FILÓCRATES
Keywords:
Alexandria-Pentateuch-Septuagint - translation-interpretation.Abstract
The work proposes a reflection about the problem of the translation in the Antiquity as it is outlined in the Letter from Aristeas to Filocrates, narration composed in the century II to.C. that relates the events around the translation to the Greek of the Pentateuch, the Septuagint. The author, anonymous letter, narrates in first person and it is described as integral of Ptolomeus Philadelphus´ real court, although in fact it is an alexandrine Jew, expert of the Moses´ laws. The work presents certain incongruities and passages of difficult interpretation, but its message is clear: by means of the translation, the Hebrew original reaches the enough dignity as to be part of the library of Alexandria, together with other noted works of the Greek world.Downloads
