Abstract

If we have as a basis that “the proclamation of the Gospel can not do without the current culture (which) must be known, evaluated and in a certain sense assumed by the Church, with a language understood by our contemporaries” (DA 480), the announcement in Digital technologies must be present in our pastoral praxis, not only as a means or tool but as a pastoral environment or place that generates communion and can lead to empowerment. In all human environments where technology is present, to move from the connection to communion, this space will have more to do with the encounter between people and Jesus Christ, and between them in themselves, than with the technological use; and in this way, “the digital network can be a place rich in humanity: not a network of cables, but human persons”.
