Abstract

Saint Teresa of Avila (1515-1582) wrote her greatest work, The Interior Cas- tle, in a particular personal and historical context. It marked the last step in a process of self- knowledge in understanding her relationship with the Tri- une God. The article shows the anthropology of a Mystical Theology, as the author defined her written work, and offers some characteristic traits of tere- sian anthropology, in which the mystery of the human person is illuminated in the Triune God, that is to say in the loving wisdom of the Spirit.
