Nacionalismo, deporte y política. El caso del Club Atlético Lanús (1915-1920)

Abstract

The following article deals with the development of nationalism during the origins of Club Atlético Lanús. For that purpose, the practices promoted by the club and others institutions dedicated to disseminate the nationalism of the Centenario in the local community, such as the organization of patriotic celebrations or the construction of monuments for the national héroes, will be analized in this article. Likewise, the most forceful expression of the club’s adherence to the nationalism of the first decades of the 19th century is its linking to the Liga Patriótica Argentina from May 1919 onwards.
