Abstract

The author emphasizes in his analysis of this papal document those aspects which, from his point of view, suggest lines of inquiry for economists. After giving the context of the Pope’s reflection, the article covers the proposals to be found in this Encyclical regarding the market,
profit, business and corporate social responsibility. According to this thinker, from the thought of Benedict XVI emerges the road towards a true ethical economy.
