Abstract

Starting with the importance of the relationship between charity and truth in this Encyclical, the author stresses the idea that the corporation, due to its social nature, is intrinsically called to serve the society of which it is part. The author stresses the importance of the firm doing
its main task well: selling good products and providing good services, respecting the laws, collaborating with a human and ecological healthy environment and participating in raising the community. In conclusion, the author suggests that corporate social responsibility is not limited to providing philanthropic plans, but to respond to a broader conception of the company.
