We offer an approach to documents related to the Argentinean pianist Esperanza Lothringer, entered to the Instituto de Investigación Musicológica ‘Carlos Vega’ in 2015, on Juan Pedro Franze’s legacy. Following previous research, new aspects of
her artistic activity are elucidated, as well as her interventions as a lecturer. The main objective is to socialize the existence of these primary sources and offer a first interpretation of the pianist’s theoretical activity and its pedagogical scope, based on
the transcription of two unpublished texts. In this way, we collaborate with a line of research developed at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes, which promotes the looking-for, enhancement and study of people with artistic and academic trajectories linked to the Conservatorio Nacional de Música, an institution which its first
centenary is forthcoming.
