This article discloses the figure of Juan Antonio Ruiz-Casaux and Lopez de Carvajal (1889-1972), one of the most important personalities of the Spanish music of the first half of the s. XX. At present, there is no relevant information or documentation on this great Spanish cellist. Through this research it can be known, for the first time in the history of music, life and work of the master Casaux. In addition it draws his contribution to the teaching of the cello in Spain and psychoanatomical system that certainly marked a before and after in teaching the instrument is analysed.
