Abstract

Ingomar Rainer is one of the current Austrian points of reference related to Historically Informed Performance: instrumentalist, conductor, professor and scholar, he has carried out his activities in four continents. We have put together the knowledge and experience acquired about W. A. Mozart—particularly during our Composition studies (with K. Schwertsik), Orchestral Conducting (with L. Hager) and Historical Performing Practice (with I. Rainer) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna—with the dialogues we were able to establish—after an ad hoc research—with I. Rainer, hoping to be able to contribute to the reversion of the bibliographic vacuum that might exist in Spanish regarding Mozart as object of study of the latter of the mentioned disciplines. We will tackle, from the perspective of Historically Informed Performance, diverse aspects related to Mozart and the performance of his works in the 21st century which are common to the whole output of the Austrian creator.
