El léxico matemático en cantares, cuentos, juegos y bailes del folklore argentino

Abstract

The paper aims to draw attention, first, to the remarkable frequency in which lexemes coming from the mathematical language appear in all the corpus of songs, dances, games and stories that remain valid for traditional oral culture of the Argentine people. It leaves the issue concerning the factors that have determined its power to endure, over time, with canonical value under various forms and functions, open to future investigations.
