Manuscritos de música en el archivo del Arzobispado de Buenos Aires

Abstract

The religious music by Argentinean composer Juan Pedro Esnaola (1808 – 1878) which we have been able to access comes from two documentary founds. The following report deals with one of these, belonging to the archive at the Archbishopric of Buenos Aires, where works by Esnaola and the Spanish composer Manuel Mencía (1731 – 1805) are kept. The report includes an inventory with comments on the music manuscripts from the archive, with information about the copyists involved.
