Keywords:
Penderecki, Krzysztof, 1933-; ESTETICA MUSICAL; COMPOSITORESAbstract
Krzysztof Penderecki (Dębica, 1933) has been regarded as a ‘true legend of music history’ and ‘the most recognized living composer by the general audience’. What are the aesthetics of this Polish artist who composes for princes, cathedrals and cities, and has received more than half a hundred honours and international recognitions? We will approach the above mentioned aesthetics, shown in the pendereckian musical output, through a diachronic-synchronic and descriptive-normative perspective, due to the nature of it. After presenting the musical stimuli of Penderecki’s childhood and youth, we will describe the different phases of his output, looking at their corresponding works and particularities; then, as a summary, we will examine those characteristics which are inherent to the whole of the above mentioned output, summed up graphically through a functional model; finally, we will tackle the conceptions that lie beneath the innermost of the creations of the Polish artist with whom we have had the privilege of studying.
