Abstract
This paper discuss the analysis of one movement from the George Philip Telemann’s Methodical flute sonatas, employing tools that could be extracted from Rhetoric discipline. This analysis will try to characterize codified features that allows thinking music from language own structures, related strongly with ars dicendi‘s categories. It will be consider, as hypothesis, the speech question as meta-language that underlay most of the artistic expressions of the first half of eighteenth century.
