Abstract

Both manuscripts Para vencer al tirano and Quedito arroyo - belonging to the Files of the Seminario de San Antonio Abad de Cusco - present a curious graphic resolution as regards the usage of numeration and disposition of voices and accompaniment. These two pieces, although being catalogued by Samuel Claro Valdés and José Quezada Macchiavello, were never transcribed, and their particular characteristics have not yet been studied by any musicologist. The salvage made by the author of this work has made it possible for two musical pieces, unknown to present date, to be expressed into actual notation.
