Abstract

British pop music of the 1980s can be taken as sign of the social and economic changes that were happening, as well as a form of expression and identification for social minority groups that played a very important role in its stylistic delineation. The production team Stock, Aiken and Waterman, using a series of constant musical sounds, knew how to bring the sounds from the underground circuit and use it to dominate the music market by the end of the decade.
