El origen del vals campero pampeano y del “vals criollo” nacional
Abstract
This work parts of the previous knowledge of the particular points of the issue: the so-called "vals criollo" ("creole waltz"), produced by the publishing industry from de 1920s decade, and the variety and richness that presented along the nineteenth century. This allowed us to consider the first hypothesis: the "vals criollo" couldn't proceed from the generic waltz but from a determined type of it. This research of the salon waltz that spread in the countryside and constituted the "vals campero" ("campestral waltz"), and which would be later the widely divulgated "vals criollo", along with the posterior hypothesis and presented verifications constitute the present study.
