Resumen

Los emojis constituyen un nuevo formato pictórico con el que interactuamos a diario. Incorporan ciertas características postuladas como atributos semánticos fundamentales para desambiguar el acceso al significado conceptual desde un input visual: el color diagnóstico y la forma prototípica en su representación. El objetivo de este estudio es indagar el impacto de este material en el acceso al significado. Se administró una tarea de categorización computarizada con conceptos de la naturaleza y objetos con alta diagnosticidad del color y baja prototipicidad en su forma. Los resultados identificaron una ventaja para aquellos con alta diagnosticidad del color, aunque esta fue más pronunciada para los elementos de la naturaleza. Asimismo, se identificó una ventaja para el dominio de seres vivos.
