IRICE is a center with dual dependence between the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) and the National University of Rosario (UNR), located in the Scientific and Technological Center of the city of Rosario, province of Santa Fe, Argentina. Its founding act, dated July 29, 1977, contains a collaboration agreement for its development and operation between the aforementioned organizations.
It was the first institute in the field of Educational Sciences of CONICET and the joint purposes were focused on the promotion of research related to this field both theoretically and experimentally. It also aims to contribute to the training of researchers and technicians at a specialized level, in number and quality in accordance with the needs of the region of the country, and to provide advice to public and private institutions.
