Abstract

This article intends to be a first approach to Cornelio Fabro’s Philosophy of Religion. Cornelio Fabro was an Italian tomistic philosopher during the XX century. To achieve this goal this work shows how three modern thinkers (Schleiermacher, Hegel and Kierkegaard) are especially present in Fabro’s thought and which elements Fabro borrows from their philosophies in order to build his own concept of religion. The influence of the three mentioned philosophers will lead Fabro to say that the religious act has three moments: the subjective moment, the objective moment, and the moment of freedom.
