Focus & Scope

Temas de Historia Argentina y Americana (Topics on Argentine and American History) is the periodical publication of the Instituto de Historia Argentina y Americana (Institute of Argentine and American History) (Department of History, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universidad Católica Argentina), which offers the academic community unpublished and original collaborations, both from its members and from other national and foreign researchers. By this means it seeks to provide growth to the scientific discipline and a fruitful exchange between specialists. Our area of ​​reference is Argentine and American history in its different chronological periods and in different aspects such as political, social, economic, religious and cultural. The intended audience is academics in general with an interest in the human sciences. Therefore, an open policy is maintained both in the reception of works and in their scientific communication and dissemination.

Temas is published mainly in Spanish, although it also accepts and publishes works in English, Portuguese, Italian and French.

Its periodicity is semiannual, publishing two volumes per year. One from January to June that is published in said month and another from July to December that is published in this last month. Both semiannual volumes are in virtual format. They are then united in an annual issue published in paper.

Periodicity: semiannual. Two issues are published per year covering the period January-June and July-December.
