La influencia de Diego Abad de Santillán en la conformación de una red intelectual libertaria latinoamericana, 1920-1930

Anarchism found in internationalism an essential element to unite the libertarian movement, since it considered that a universal alliance would only be achieved by crossing borders. There were many anarchist thinkers who sought to accomplish this goal and who, in their role of theorists-activists, not only contributed to the creation of the anarchist intellectual universe in Buenos Aires in the first decades of the 20th century but also, in their role of active agents in the process of conceiving of, receiving and spreading ideas, tried to relate local anarchism to Latin American and European anarchism. Diego Abad de Santillán was an outstanding character in this group between 1920 and 1930. As a theorist, activist, journalist, writer, editor, and translator, he was a fundamental piece in the libertarian intellectual machinery deployed between Europe and Latin America, and he formed part of the leading thinkers of Argentinian anarchism. By bringing together both movements, he was not only a link but he also sought to represent and give answers to the multiple and varied interests of the working class.
