El imaginario del retorno en las historias de migración del cine argentino-español
Keywords:
Argentina, Cinema, Return migration, Social representations, SpaniardsAbstract
In the Argentine-Spanish cinema of last decades there are many fictional films about migration between the two countries: both of Spanish migration to the Argentine in the past and recent Argentine migration to Spain. These movements are related to the representation of the cultural and historical ties that link the Argentine society with the nation where many of their members or their ancestors (parents, grandparents, great-grandparents) came from. It formed an imaginary about return to the roots that contributes to explain the actual migration processes, just a time in which they turned important. In this article we have analysed different movies produced between 1997 and 2007 to examine the significance of this return.
