Abstract

Frondizi’s journey to Canada and Asia has to be understood in connection with his previous trips to United States and Europe and derives from his rationale that the world of that time was indivisible. Argentina had to be placed in that context. The objective was to seek new markets, which derived from the vital Argentine’s need to commerce and atract investments, key to the development and economic cooperation program. Peace was one of the journey’s topics and Frondizi also searched to know the cultures of the visited countries to have some insight of their situation. As results commercial treaties were signed with Thailand and Japon, still in force.
