Abstract

There are several ways to analyze the different trends on peronist recent historiography. Nevertheless, in general it can be said that the focus of the debate have recently shifted from a sociological to an historian analysis, from macro to micro perspectives and from a political to a social study. The initial ideas about the supposed breakpoint the peronism represented have been replaced by an interpretation that takes into account the political and social context in which the phenomena took place, giving a sense of continuity instead of rupture. The homogeneous imaged has been replaced by a heterogeneous and complex frame of analysis. From a gender studies point of view, recent works had given us information not only about the Female Peronist Party, but also regarding aspects such as reproduction, maternity, childhood and changes in family composition. Also, there was a change in the geographical scope of analysis replacing the metropolitan focus by a regional and local perspective. Even at the risk of exaggerating, it can be said that there’s a shift from the big philosophical discourses and the theoretic models to a small scale daily life studies about peronism.
